Meet Julia

Julia Adelman is a seasoned college counselor with a richly diverse background, spanning major cultural hubs like Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, and Fort Collins, Colorado, where she currently resides. With a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Loyola University of Chicago and a postgraduate certification in College Counseling from UCLA Awarded with Distinction, she brings over five years of experience as an essay specialist and Independent Educational Consultant. She is currently a member of the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) and the American Association of University Women (AAUW). Her clients have gained admission to a broad range of colleges, universities, and performing and fine arts schools.

Before diving into the educational field, Adelman’s career encompassed the performing arts and athletics, including dance, choreography, world tours as a professional figure skater, ten years as a coach and mentor, as well as achieving a black belt in mixed martial arts and certification as a Pilates instructor. In addition to her professional pursuits, Adelman is a devoted parent to three artistically inclined children and enjoys a lively household with various pets. This blend of professional insight and personal passion, coupled with her distinctly unique life experiences, equips her to effectively empower and inspire students on their journey to finding the right college fit.
